Blanch the broccoli with the pasta in the last 2 to 3 minutes of the pasta time. Make the pasta a bit more al dente than usual, especially if it will sit overnight. 4 green onions was more than enough. I am not a raw tomato fan but 1 1/2 cups roasted tomatoes was excellent. I cut the bacon into small pieces before I cooked it, worked great. Use good ranch and up the salt. Will make again!

This was served last night, but not as a side dish. On a very hot Sherman Oaks evening, we ate this as our main dish. With more than 40 years behind me of collecting “too many” recipes that are made on rotation, this pasta salad is only the 3rd. in my compendium. Jessica, you are truly something else with your creative brain. Thank you for this one. The dressing is light and rich at the same time. I cooked 1/3 pound of Fusili, and tossed with a half recipe of your dressing. It may sound like a lot, but it was perfect. This dwelled in the fridge for the day, and when tossed with all of the fun toppings, we found it to be the perfect amount of dressing.
